Department (Agency) for Social Inclusion of the Ministry of the Regional Development

The Agency for Social Inclusion has been established by the Ministry of the Regional Development of the Czech Republic to provide support to local Governments in the process of social inclusion.

The Agency for Social Inclusion supports local Governments to pursue their role and to ensure or help to ensure equal access to education, housing, healthcare, employment, social services and security for all citizens.

The Agency supports measures that help local administrations in the process of social integration of people at risk of social exclusion and in the development of socially excluded areas on an individual basis (in a tailor – made manner) and in such way that benefits all those involved.

The Agency’s mission is to bring together local actors to work together on social inclusion.

The Agency supports an interdepartmental approach and connection between the public administration and the non-profit sector.

The Agency helps municipalities and local authorities in particular in the following areas:

– Providing services support in the area of education, employment promotion, social services and social housing, and provide infrastructure for these services;

– Effective employment of the European Structural Funds, the central budget, regional subsidy programs and other financial sources;

– Communication with Central Government bodies, especially ministries in charge of social inclusion; The Agency formulates proposals in the area of legislation, subsidy titles, social policies, etc.
